We are the Champions!

At the end of just our second season playing in the Hampshire Leagues, everyone at Hook & Odiham RFC are delighted to have finished at the top of Waterfall Solent 3.   This means that just three years after being founded, the club is looking forward to our second promotion in two years and we’re determined to continue to build on this success.   We’d like to say a big thank you to all of our players who put in a string of immense performances to achieve this result, and also to all of our sponsors, committee and supporters because it really takes a team effort to build a successful club.

If you’d like to get involved in any capacity in the future, please do get in touch and we hope to see you at training in the summer, or on the pitch or the touchline next season.   We’re also hoping to participate in a mixed tag rugby tournament this summer, so we’re particularly keen to hear from any ladies who would be interested in getting involved in that.

Here’s to next season when we hope to see you at one of our matches at Rotherwick playing fields.

Chairman’s Welcome

Rugby is a sport played and enjoyed worldwide at many different levels.   Whilst at the pinnacle of the sport, played by the international elite in wonderful arenas such as Twickenham and other fantastic locations around the world, at the other end you have the grassroots rugby.   This rugby, played by clubs like ours tucked away in rural locations, like Rotherwick, provides the opportunity for players, young and old to enjoy this wonderful game.

The club was established in February 2015 by six serving and ex-serving military personnel all with a passion for the game of rugby.   We have all settled in the local area and wanted to give something back to the community that would be of benefit now and in the future.

The club is one of the newest in the country and today welcomes senior players of all abilities.   We pride ourselves on our team spirit and welcoming atmosphere.   We are small now, but with support from the local area and the wider rugby community, we aim to continue to grow over the next few years.

Currently, we have only one team and have long-term plans to expand including a mini section around our five-year point.

The club has come a long way since its inauguration in 2015 and with the continued support of our generous sponsors, players, wives, families and friends we will go from strength to strength.

If you are interested in playing for the team or wish to support the club in any capacity, please contact us enquiries@hookandodihamrfc.co.uk
